Two Days – One Night Trip to the Local Market, Whaleshark and Bogani Nani Nationalpark.
Saronde Island Resort is happy to organize this pure Adventure Trip for our Guests who want to see wildlife and trek through the primary rainforest.
This trip lasts 2D1N and starts by leaving at 6.30 am by car from Kwandang Harbor, North Gorontalo Regency, then heading to the Hungayono Forest, Bogani Nani Wartabone National Park. On the way we can stop to visit the central market of Gorontalo and Botubarani Village where the whale sharks are located.
Arriving at Tulabolo Village, then continue the journey for approximately 15 minutes by motorbike to the starting point for the trip to explore the Hungayono Forest, Bogani Nani Warrabone National Park. When first entered Hungayono Forest, Mr. Patrick Kranenbroek and Mr. Yuan met and saw directly one of the endemic birds that birdwatchers are most looking for and want to see when visiting Sulawesi Island, namely the Sulawesi Dwarf Kingfisher (Ceyx Fallax). Apart from that, some birds can be observed such as the Sulawesi Blue Flycatcher (Cyornis omisus), White-eye Spangled Drongo (Dicrurus bracteatus), Bay Coucal (Centropus Celebensis), Sulawesi Malkoha (Phaenichopaeus calyorhynchus) and which are also one of the favorites for observed in the Hungayono Forest, namely Maleo (Macrocephalon maleo).
For wildlife observations, they can also observe one of the seven types of endemic monkeys that can be seen and found on Sulawesi Island, namely the Gorontalo Monkey (Macaca Nigrescens). Apart from that, our guests also saw the Gursky Spectral Tarsier (Tarsius Spectrumgurskyae) which is also one of the 12 types of Tarsier that can be found on Sulawesi Island.
If you are lucky, more rare or endemic animals can be observed, it’s nature so we need luck and patience.
On this trip, we worked together with Mr. Ardhy Toyadho
